red scotch brite is fine on the jambs. You don't have to prime over it you can paint right on top of it.

As a painter scotch brite pads are perfect for jams or hard to reach areas! Red scotch brite pads are usually around 400-600 grit give or take and grey scotch brite pads are usually around 800-1000 grit!

  • Daniel Nelson
    Daniel Nelson

I do autobody everyday. Yes red scotchbrite pads are great to prime over as long as you get rid of all the shine. And another thing you dont have to prime the whole jam. Just the body work areas. Sealer then paint will be fine.

Don’t use the 14+ style towing mirrors with the lights in them. Putting the wrong generation towing mirrors on the wrong generation truck just is retarded and drives me up on the wall. Just my opinion. love your content.

Honestly I don't think the 1500 has been a great view I said. Save up a little real cash say 25k. Buy a nice old LBZ or LLY or cummins or literally any 2500 diesel and make it an everyday guys show truck. As in your fully built ram isn't really attainable for most of us. It'd be sick if you built a truck most of us could. Still would be sick like the ram and diesel, just not a 80k build like that thing. Alot closer to maybe 40k with this one. Thats my vote. PS plz build a fully blacked out LBZ with decent miles on some 22x14's with like a -78 offset I'd piss myself. Save the money to do it. For us. And u. lol.

1500 people don’t really care until it’s done 🙄 then they’re gonna see it and be amazed!! Just the constant bodywork and such is driving me up a wall! Wish I could do it all in 1 video but that would take forever!

I work at a body shop and that is pretty common. We even use the less aggressive grey pads with no issues. So that will be just fine to use.

Everyone Ryan and his wife have amazing clothing go support them buy something so worth the money. No bs the camo hoodie was top notch. My church friends thought LFT'D. Meant lifted by God lol awesome either way.

With that limited amount of space I would get a peace of plywood and lay it on the frame and stack your doors and hood on it. Truck is looking great can’t wait to see painted and back together

Lol I would consider THAT a baby spool of MIG wire haha. We stocked some 33lb and some between 12 and 20. Much larger more industrial size MIG machines. Lay a bead damn near half inch wide lol. I also noticed I kind of thought you went through your shield gas bottle pretty fast. Hard to tell when you dont know how much practicing you do off camera and all that.

You need to get yourself a little shed separate from your garage to keep parts in when you don’t need them right away. It’s a real workspace saver!! I have one that I built and it’s just nice to keep parts after you clean them out of all the dust and out of the weather and keeps you from bumping into them while you are working and scratching them!

It had to tell in the video but the wire on your welder might be sticking out too far. If it is the weld will look bad this is because the shield gas is not getting to the weld
